Photography projects – seeing nature, holding it, sharing it
For me photography is more than a by-product of my hikes – it is part of my story.
Every photograph is taken on the way: unplanned, real, close up. I record what moves me – a quiet moment in the forest, a wide view across the hills or a small detail at the side of the path. These are not staged shots but honest moments, caught in motion.
Here you will find a selection of my best motifs, all taken by me – from the Saarland, the Palatinate and from my travels beyond.
Whether morning mist, golden light or fascinating natural structures – every photograph tells a piece of my walking world. And perhaps it will make you want to be outdoors more often too.

I am still working on the right way to present them – my photographs should not simply be “shown”, they should be experienced.

Technique & style
I deliberately photograph without staging.
No drones, no models – only what is really there. Honest, natural, focused on mood and perspective.
Instead of a display of technique, I go for the feeling of the moment.
I take my time, I look, I wait for the right light. Often it is the quiet that makes a picture. Mist in the early morning, a ray of sun on mossy ground, a path losing itself in the distance – those are my subjects.
My photographs do not tell stories, they let you live one. Without filters – but very close to nature.
Why photographs at DR Moments?
Because every picture tells a story – and because I believe we should not only experience nature but also protect it.
That is exactly what I want to show: how beautiful the simple things can be.
It is often not the spectacular landscapes that move us but small, quiet scenes: a tree bending in the wind, an old bench with a view, the light on a field track. They remind us how valuable the near-at-hand is.
I do not photograph to impress but to move. My pictures should not shout, they should breathe – and perhaps encourage you to look more closely again. Because whoever values nature also protects it.
