The Moselsteig Seitensprung „Moselachter” takes you through one of the most impressive landscapes between Bernkastel-Kues and Mülheim. Steep vineyards, quiet forest paths, open heights and recurring views down to the Mosel define this varied loop. Both above and below, the trail shows what makes the region special: viticulture, history and wide horizons.

🅿️ Starting point: Quiet car park at the forest edge
The loop starts at a small car park above the L148 – right at the forest edge and ideal for a relaxed start. From here you head straight into nature: soft ground, tall pines, first glimpses of the terraced slopes opposite. A quiet beginning before the loop reveals its full variety.

Boat bench – rest area with Mosel reference
An artistic boat bench recalls the shipping and wine-trading tradition. The perfect rest stop with a view of the vines.
In hoc signo vinces
Information board about the legend of Emperor Constantine’s cross – culture and landscape united at a striking viewpoint.
Old vehicle remains in the forest
Rusty remains of an old vehicle – presumably a VW Käfer. Eerie, almost forgotten, fascinating as a trace of time.
