My honest Atomy experience – despite a bad MLM past

Here is my honest Atomy experience – and I’m starting right from the beginning. In the past, I had bad experiences with MLM (multi-level marketing): the constant persuading, the guilty feeling afterwards – not my thing. So I was all the more surprised at myself when I ended up with Atomy of all things. Why I do it anyway and what any of this has to do with sport and hiking, I’ll tell you here – from the start and without sugar-coating.

What personal care has to do with sport and hiking

A few years ago I was doing a lot of sport. Early on, I noticed something: many athletes have smooth, hair-free bodies. I wondered why – and at some point I simply tried it myself. So: shaved. Everywhere.

I grew up with the motto “that’s not something you do, and you certainly don’t talk about it.” So there was a little shame involved. But that was quickly forgotten once I noticed the benefits: less odour and significantly easier maintenance – a real difference, especially during sport and out on the trail.

Shaving, cream, IPL – my long road to the right method

But it wasn’t quite that straightforward. Here is my honest assessment:

• Shaving: After a few days it itches like hell. And let’s be honest – you don’t think to bring a razor every single day.
• Hair removal cream: Works well, but the hair grows back – more slowly, but it does. And some areas of the body react sensitively to it. Aftercare was always important.
• IPL device for home use: Works great – but extremely time-consuming due to the small treatment area.

In the end I decided on a professional IPL treatment.

The appointment – and how Atomy entered the picture

The consultation was really good. At some point the topic of “earning a little on the side” came up – and she mentioned Atomy to me. I declined. For the well-known reasons: my bad MLM experiences.

Then came the treatment – and with it, quite naturally, the topic of aftercare. Because it was a professional treatment, I wanted to do it properly and asked for a recommendation. That’s how we got onto the Atomy skincare products.

Why Atomy products of all things?

Anyone who knows cosmetics and skincare knows: some of the best skincare products in the world come from South Korea. Korean skincare – “K-Beauty” – enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide. And that’s exactly where Atomy comes from. That shaped my Atomy experience from the very first use.
