The Tafeltour Offizierspfad Imsbach starts directly at the Hofgut Imsbach near Theley. Free parking is available there. Those wishing to arrive by public transport need to plan carefully – the connections are rather rural in character, but possible. The entrance to the circuit is well signposted and accessible directly from the car park. The Hofgut itself already offers a special atmosphere from the very start: historic buildings, a peaceful pond and plenty of nature.

The Offizierspfad Imsbach is a circular hike of around 11 km with easy to moderate difficulty. The route passes through varied landscapes – quiet forest sections alternate with open ridges, from which you can enjoy far-reaching views as far as the Freisener Höhe. The paths are mostly natural, partly rooty or slightly rocky, but overall easy to walk. Those who enjoy hiking on quiet paths without encountering many other walkers will get their money’s worth here.

I would recommend this circuit to everyone who enjoys hiking away from the hustle and bustle, pausing every now and then and has a feel for history.
Those who are prepared to look closely will be rewarded with many small moments.
