🧭 Starting out & feel of the path

The starting point is directly opposite Rüssels Landhaus. After just a few steps across the road, the tour begins with a gentle climb into the forest. The atmosphere is calm, the walking pleasant, and before long the sounds of the village give way to the rustling of leaves and the babbling of small streams.

🍄 Nature quiz & educational trails

Right at the beginning, lovingly designed boards provide variety: a nature quiz about mushrooms and native birds invites you to join in – ideal for families and nature lovers. The small learning stations convey knowledge about flora and fauna without interrupting the flow of the walk.

🍯 Small discoveries along the way

Along the way you come across a charming honey station at the forest edge, where regional honey is offered in a small cabinet. A lovely moment of honesty and connection with the region. The wood art featuring a carved animal figure also shows how much love has gone into the design of this path.

🥤 The former drinks station

The disused drinks station is somewhat saddening – a place that once supplied hikers with refreshments. Unfortunately it was broken into several times and is therefore no longer in operation. An example of how unfortunate it is that such lovely initiatives cannot exist in peace.

⛪ Felsenkapelle

A particular highlight is the small Felsenkapelle above the path. The slate-roofed stone building sits idyllically on the hillside and radiates a deep calm. A brief stop here is worthwhile, to let the moment sink in – a place that carries history and stillness within it.

🌳 Landscape & atmosphere

The route leads through a varied mix of forests, meadows and small valleys. The colours are especially vivid in autumn, and at open spots there are lovely views of Naurath and the surrounding hilly landscape. The combination of nature, small details and crafted accents makes this Traumschleife unique.

📏 Route & difficulty

The circular route measures approximately 10 km with around 250 metres of elevation gain. The path runs mostly on well-walkable forest tracks and meadow paths, only occasionally slightly steeper. Difficulty: easy to moderate. Ideal for those who enjoy a leisurely pace, nature lovers and quiet days.

🧳 Equipment

Hiking boots with grip are recommended, as some sections can be slippery in autumn. For photographers, a wide-angle lens is worthwhile – especially at the chapel, the information stations and along the valleys.

📌 Tips

  • Best time: Early autumn or spring – pleasant temperatures and rich colours.
