Stille Wege
Volume 3 of the series “Wandern mit Verstand” · 159 pages
The book is written in German.
My new book is called “Stille Wege” and is volume 3 of the “Wandern mit Verstand” series. It collects 17 hikes from May to October that I walked alone and early in the morning. They are quiet routes where you can slow down and find calm.
What it's about
I like to set off early, when the forest is still quiet and the light lies low over the fields. This book grew out of those morning hours: 17 routes from May to October, walked alone and without hurry.
It's not about records. I want to show how these routes really feel, so that you know beforehand what you're getting into.
What to expect
For every hike you'll find my honest impressions instead of gloss, plus my own photos. I also look at the area and its history and at what is worth seeing along the way.
The tours lead through the Saarland and beyond. They include, for example, the Weiselberg Gipfeltour, the Itzenplitzer Pingenpfad, the Keltische Skulpturenweg Cerda Celtoi and the Zons am Rhein Rundwanderung.
The bonus
As an extra, the book comes with a directory of 77 marked hiking routes in the Saarland and just across the border. For every route you'll find the length and walking time, plus a link or QR code straight to the tour.
That way, after the 17 routes in the book, you can pick out more tours yourself.
Who the book is for
For everyone who would rather set off than plan for a long time. And for everyone who knows that the most beautiful paths are often the quiet ones.
To me, Wandern mit Verstand means: at your pace, on your paths.
